I believe I've done a very good of self-advocacy throughout the internship. (Although it may be easier for me, since only Jefferson and North County Media Center's owner are there everyday.) I always volunteer to complete work, especially when it has been related to video production. For example, a client came in who had recently torn his Achilles tendon. He had brought his son in to help him, although he was not very familiar with the field of video production. Since I was eager and able to help set up, I got the opportunity to gain hands on learning experience with setting up lights and green screen.
I also think that I've done a good job of making myself a memorable intern. My mentor and I get along very well and we often have casual discussions while working on a project together. He really appreciates my good attitude and work ethic, to the point where he has offered me to work on projects with him after my internship and pay me for my work. I have a good experience with all of the clients Jefferson works and have been able to both make myself useful and learn during shoots.
