CAHSEE Reflection and SAt Prep

For most of the math I was familiar with everything. The problems that were the easiest for me were mostly ones where I had to find a missing variable, since I’ve done these problems since the 7th grade. However, there were  few things for things that I had trouble remembering. Whenever I reached a problem that I was unable to solve, I set it up as an equation and then manipulated it. For example, when I came across a problem with 2 different variables, I set it up as an equation and then manipulated it to find solutions for each variables. The habit of a mathematician I used once being systematic, since I use, as explained above, for almost every problem to find the answers, and whenever I was unsure about my answer, I made small changes to the problem to test if my system was correct. I honestly don’t believe I don’t need to improve on much other than reviewing a few topics that I had trouble remembering.

I plan to take the SAT in Junior and, if necessary, Senior year, so that I’ll have two chances to take the test and will be able to see how hard the full test is. I will prepare by taking extra curricular prep classes and by purchasing SAT preparation books, that I will probably begin studying the beginning of Junior year.
